Obama's Savvy Plan to Circumvent Religious Groups' Freak Out Over Contraception

Obama's Savvy Plan to Circumvent Religious Groups' Freak Out Over Contraception
Today, the White House did the right thing for women, public health
and human rights. Despite deep concerns, including my own, based on
what transpired in the past under health reform, the White House has
decided on a plan to address the birth control mandate that will
enable women to get contraceptive coverage directly through their
insurance plans without having to buy a rider or a second plan, and
without having to negotiate with or through religious entities or
administrations that are hostile to primary reproductive health care,
including but not limited to contraception.

Under this plan, every insurance company will be obligated to provide
contraceptive coverage. Administration officials stated that a woman's
insurance company "will be required to reach out directly and offer
her contraceptive care free of charge. The religious institutions
will not have to pay for it."

Moreover, women will not have to opt in or out; contraceptive care
will be part of the basic package of benefits offered to everyone.
Contraceptive care will simply be "part of the bundle of services that
all insurance companies are required to offer," said a White House
official.

"We are actually more comfortable having the insurance industry offer
and market this to women than religious institutions," said the White
House official because they "understand how contraception works" to
prevent unintended pregnancy and reduce health care costs. "This makes
sense financially."

The way it works is this: Insurers will create policy not including
contraceptive coverage in the contract for religious organizations
that object. Second, the same insurance company must simultaneously
offer contraceptive coverage to all employees, and can not charge an
additional premium. This provides free contraceptive coverage to
women. The reason this works for insurance companies is because
offering contraception is cost-neutral and cost-effective; companies
realize the tremendous cost benefits of spacing pregnancies, and
limiting unintended pregnancies, planned pregnancies and health
benefits of contraception.

White House officials, speaking on background, said that the
accommodation--which they stress is not a compromise--fulfills two
principals. One is that all women will have access to the health care
they need no matter where they work; their access to contraceptive
services is guaranteed. "No longer will they have to struggle to pay
for it," said the White House official. At the same time, "we are
able to respect the beliefs of religious institutions." These are two
principals, the official said, "that the White House holds dear."

The rule will be applied to all but the original institutions that
were exempted—those for which religious inculcation is their primary
purpose—and will not be expanded to include other entities such as
hospitals, clinics, or social service organizations.

It most certainly will not, according to White House officials, exempt
private employers. The Bishops had made clear earlier this week that
their ultimate goal was to get rid of contraceptive coverage in health
reform entirely.

The White House said that they plan to publish the final rule as soon
as possible, and that it would go into effect on August 1, 2012, the
original date, removing the one-year grace period from the original
plan.

A White House official described the plan as providing "seamless
coverage" to women for contraceptive care and crafted to allay
concerns about privacy and confidentiality in accessing such coverage.

White House spokespeople pointed to support from two sides of the debate.

On one hand, Sister Carol Keehan of the Catholic Health Association
applauded the policy, although I could not find her statement at this
time.

And in a statement, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood
Federation of America said:

"We believe the compliance mechanism does not compromise a woman's
ability to access these critical birth control benefits.

"However we will be vigilant in holding the administration and the
institutions accountable for a rigorous, fair and consistent
implementation of the policy, which does not compromise the essential
principles of access to care.

"The individual rights and liberties of all women and all employees in
accessing basic preventive health care is our fundamental concern.

"Planned Parenthood continues to believe that those institutions who
serve the broad public, employ the broad public, and receive taxpayer
dollars, should be required to follow the same rules as everyone else,
including providing birth control coverage and information.

"As a trusted health care provider to one in five women, Planned
Parenthood's priority is increasing access to preventive health care.
This birth control coverage benefit does just that.

"The birth control benefit underscores the fact that birth control is
basic health care, and is fundamental to improving women's health and
the health of their families.

From Senator Kirsten Gillibrand: Stop the Right Wing Blunt Threat to Basic Women's Health Care

From Senator Kirsten Gillibrand: Stop the Right Wing Threat to basic
Women's health care

Your boss shouldn't decide what kind of health care you use. That's just wrong.

Incredibly, that's exactly what Sen. Roy Blunt's (R-Missouri) brand
new amendment would allow. He wants Congress to totally scrap
President Obama's guarantee of access to affordable birth control and
let any employer or any health plan refuse coverage of birth control –
even as President Obama has found a reasonable, respectful solution
that exempts religious institutions and guarantees women contraception
coverage.

It looks like Blunt's amendment is coming up for a vote next week, and
we must stop it.

I am absolutely dumbfounded that we're still debating whether women
have a right to basic health care. But we've seen it all before.

That's why I joined with Barbara Boxer and several colleagues to start
One Million Strong for Women to push back against the attacks on
women.

An overwhelming grassroots movement is the only way to stop right-wing
efforts to deny women affordable birth control. The best way we can
stop this bill – and others like it – is to join together.

Click here to stand up for guaranteed access to affordable birth
control – and join our new project to find One Million Strong for
Women.

Mitt Romney says he'd repeal the new guarantee for affordable
contraception on "day one" of his hypothetical presidency. Now we have
Blunt's new bill bringing this issue to the here and now.

Putting CEOs in charge of health care decisions is patently offensive.
But that's what the vocal minority that's hijacked this debate wants
to see.

Think about that. They want to do away with birth control coverage. I
can't think of a better example of why it's so important for us to get
organized and get ready to stand strong against the right-wing's "war
on women."

control – and join our new project to find One Million Strong for

It's appalling that some people think that anyone except a woman and
her doctor should make health care decisions for her.

That's why we have to stand up to right-wing bullying on this issue.
We can't let the radical few make health care decisions for millions
and millions of women.

I hope you'll take action right away.

Sincerely,

Kirsten Gillibrand

1400 Years of Inbreeding . . . Very Enlightening!!

See short article and short video.

Anyone have any evidence to the contrary on this issue?

 1400 Years of Inbreeding..Very Enlightening!!

 A huge Muslim problem:  Inbreeding
By  Bryan Fischer

Nicolai Sennels is a Danish psychologist  who has done extensive
research into a  little-known problem in the Muslim world: the
disastrous results of Muslim inbreeding brought about by the
marriage of first-cousins.

This practice, which has been prohibited in the  Judeo-Christian
tradition since the days of  Moses, was sanctioned by Muhammad and
has been  going on now for 50 generations (1,400 years) in the
Muslim world.

This  practice of inbreeding will never go away in the Muslim world,
since Muhammad is the ultimate example and authority  on all
matters, including marriage.

The  massive inbreeding in Muslim  culture may well have done
virtually  irreversible damage to the Muslim gene pool, including
extensive damage to its intelligence, sanity, and health.

According to Sennels, close to half of  all Muslims in the world are
inbred. In  Pakistan, the numbers approach 70%. Even in England ,
more than half of Pakistani immigrants are married to their  first
cousins, and in Denmark the number of  inbred Pakistani immigrants
is around  40%.

The numbers are equally  devastating in other important Muslim
countries: 67% in Saudi Arabia,  64% in Jordan, and Kuwait, 63%  in
Sudan, 60% in Iraq, and 54% in the United  Arab Emirates and Qatar.

According to the BBC, this Pakistani, Muslim-inspired inbreeding is
thought to explain the probability that a British  Pakistani family
is more than 13 times as  likely to have children with recessive
genetic  disorders. While Pakistanis are responsible for three
percent of the births in the UK, they account for 33% of  children
with genetic birth defects.

The  risk of what are called  autosomal recessive disorders such as
cystic  fibrosis and spinal muscular atrophy is 18 times higher and
the risk of death due to malformations is 10 times higher

Other negative consequences of inbreeding  include a 100 percent
increase in the risk of  stillbirths and a 50% increase in the
possibility that a child will die during labor.

Lowered intellectual capacity is another devastating  consequence
of Muslim marriage patterns.  According to Sennels, research  shows that
children of consanguineous marriages lose 10-16 points off their  IQ
and that social abilities develop much  slower in inbred babies.
The risk of having an  IQ lower than 70, the official demarcation
for  being classified as "retarded," increases by an astonishing 400
percent among children of cousin marriages.

(Similar effects were seen in the  Pharaonic dynasties in ancient
Egypt and in  the British royal family, where inbreeding was the
norm for a significant period of  time.)

In Denmark, non-Western immigrants are  more than 300 percent  more
likely to  fail the intelligence test required for entrance into the
Danish army.

Sennels  says that "the ability to enjoy and produce knowledge and
abstract thinking is simply lower in the Islamic world."  He  points
out that the Arab world translates just  330 books every year,
about 20% of what  Greece alone does.

In the last  1,200 years of  Islam, just 100,000 books have been
translated into Arabic, about what Spain does in a single  year.
Seven out of 10 Turks have never even  read  a book.

Sennels points  out the difficulties this creates for Muslims
seeking to succeed in the West. "A lower IQ, together with a
religion that denounces critical thinking, surely  makes it harder
for many Muslims to have  success in our high-tech knowledge
societies."

Only nine Muslims  have ever won the Nobel Prize, and five of those
were for the "Peace Prize." According to Nature magazine,  Muslim
countries produce just 10 percent of  the world average when it
comes to scientific  research (measured by articles per million
inhabitants).

In Denmark,  Sennels' native country, Muslim children are grossly
overrepresented among children with special needs.   One-third of the
budget for Danish schools is  consumed by special education, and
anywhere  from 51% to 70% of retarded children with physical
handicaps in Copenhagen have an immigrant background.
Learning ability is severely affected as well.  Studies  indicated
that 64% of school  children with Arabic parents are still
illiterate after 10 years in the Danish school system. The
immigrant drop-out rate in Danish high schools is twice that of  the
native-born.

Mental illness is also a product. The closer the blood  relative,
the higher the risk of schizophrenic  illness. The increased risk of
insanity may  explain why more than 40% of patients in Denmark's
biggest ward for clinically insane criminals have an  immigrant
background.

The U.S. is not immune. According to  Sennels,  "One study based on
300,000 Americans shows  that the majority of Muslims in the USA
have a  lower income, are less educated, and have worse jobs than
the population as a whole."

Sennels concludes:

There is no doubt that the wide spread tradition of first  cousin
marriages among Muslims has harmed the  gene pool among Muslims.
Because Muslims'  religious beliefs prohibit marrying non-Muslims
and  thus prevents them from adding fresh genetic material  to their
population, the genetic damage done  to their gene pool since their
prophet allowed  first cousin marriages 1,400 years ago are most
likely massive. (This has produced) overwhelming direct  and
indirect human and societal  consequences.

Bottom line: Islam  is not simply a benign and morally equivalent
alternative to the Judeo-Christian tradition. As Sennels points
out, the first and biggest victims of Islam are  Muslims. Simple Judeo-
Christian compassion for  Muslims and a common-sense desire to
protect  Western civilization from the ravages of Islam dictate a
vigorous opposition to the spread of this dark and  dangerous
religion. These stark realities must  be taken into account when we
establish public  polices dealing with immigration from Muslim
countries and the building of mosques in the U.S.

Let's hope North Americans wake up before a blind naivete  about the
reality of Islam destroys what  remains of our Judeo-Christian
culture and our domestic tranquility.

AND SHE DOESN'T EVEN REFERENCE THE PROBLEMS OF BREADING WITH GOATS!

Steve

Why wasn't Obama in contempt of court?

Diana West risks 'birther' label by analyzing evidence in hearing BHO 'boycotted'

Published: 14 hours ago
by Diana WestEmail | Archive
Diana West is the author of "The Death of the Grown-up: How America's Arrested Development Is Bringing Down Western Civilization," and blogs at

One thing I've learned while researching my new, nearly finished book is that both history and news, history's so-called rough draft, are not written by the "victors" as much as they are censored, twisted and reconfigured by what I can best describe as "the mob."

I'm not referring to the Mafia. What I'm talking about is a mob-like amalgam of sharp elbows and big mouths who dictate acceptable topics, their narrative flow and an approved range of opinion – the consensus-makers. Defying consensus, breaking what amount to Mafia-like vows of "omerta" – silence – and delving into the verboten, is the worst possible crime of anti-mobness, punishable by eternal hooting and marginalization.

Few transgress. Which explains the news blackout on an extraordinary chain of recent events that took place in and around a Georgia courtroom and pertained to challenges to President Obama's eligibility to be a presidential candidate in Georgia in 2012. In the end, the president defeated the challenge. He will be on the Georgia primary ballot come March. But therein lies an amazing tale.

Already I can feel the chill hiss of "birther" at the mere mention of these events, all because I haven't included the mob-requisite catcalls that are "supposed" to go along with such accounts. But there's nothing to mock here.

If you want to fully understand the issue of constitutional eligibility, get Jerome Corsi's best-selling "Where's the Birth Certificate?" and get his e-book sequel, "Where's the Real Birth Certificate?" free.

Last month, after Administrative Law Judge Michael Malihi denied motions by President Obama's lawyer Michael Jablonski both to dismiss proceedings against the president and to quash a subpoena, three attorneys made history. For the first time, attorneys were permitted to enter evidence into the court record challenging Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to be president.

Georgia state law stipulates: "Every candidate for federal and state office … shall meet the constitutional and statutory qualifications for holding the office being sought." Plaintiff attorneys Van Irion and Mark Hatfield, who is also a Georgia state representative, argued that President Obama, an American citizen, fails to meet these qualifications because he is not a "natural born" citizen, the constitutional requirement for the presidency. This is due, they argued, to the uncontested fact that his father, Barack Obama Sr. of Kenya, was a British subject, not an American citizen. A third plaintiff attorney, Orly Taitz – object of an eternity's worth of "two-minute hates" within the media mob – introduced evidence that the 44th president of the United States has engaged in what appears to be identity fraud.

Such evidence, as gleaned from a partial list of exhibits introduced in the hearing and published at the American Thinker website, included affidavits from security professionals and other documentation attesting that Obama is using a Connecticut Social Security number (he never lived in Connecticut); that Obama's purported Social Security number was never issued to him; and that – my favorite – his Social Security number "does not pass E-Verify." Another affidavit from an Adobe Illustrator expert maintains that Obama's birth certificate, released last spring to much hype and ballyhoo, is a computer-generated forgery.

Frankly, I was unimpressed with the presidential defense in pre-hearing arguments. For example, Jablonski tried to deflect the Social Security issue – which, after all, raises serious questions of fraud – by pointing out that "nothing in the Constitution makes … participating in Social Security a prerequisite to serving as president." (So what's a little felonious fraud?) On the "citizenship issue," Jablonski declared the issue was "soundly rejected by 69,456,897 Americans in the 2008 elections, as it has been by every judicial body" since. Is he saying that a lot of votes or previous court actions nullify the legal merits of any new proceeding? I'm no lawyer, but that doesn't seem like much of a legal argument.

The day before the hearing, Jablonksi announced he and the president would "suspend further participation" in the proceedings; Brian Kemp, the Georgia secretary of state, retorted that Jablonski and his client would "do so at your own peril." On hearing day, the defense and defendant didn't just rest; they didn't show up, defying the subpoena summoning Jablonski and the president to court. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution later styled the president's rejection of his subpoena as a boycott.) Contempt of court, anyone? How about just a headline?

Nope. Headlines could wait – at least until the story came out "right," which it did when both the judge and secretary of state ruled this month in favor of President Obama.

Obama's on the Georgia ballot; "birthers" lose again. The narrative is locked down.

This time around, though, it doesn't feel as if Obama really won.
