Re: Drowning in a Sea of Right Wing Extremism, Prejudice, and Bigotry

"Pellet gun" equates "far-Right anti-government militia"? Really? No self-respecting militia member would use a pellet gun.

The author of this piece was obviously stretching for a way - any way - to connect an alleged breaking of windows comment to the Tucson massacre.

Needed CPAC Insurgency: Oust Keene, Khan, Norquist ....

CPAC should be interesting this year.

There are at least three fights going on where one group is saying another faction should not be there.

The Family Research Council and other anti-gay peeps have all pulled out because the homosexual GOProud ruffians beat them up and took their lunch money last year in the exhibitors hall.

The GOP incumbatocracy continues to be upset that Ron Paul won the straw poll last year; and Ron Paulista 20-somethings seem to be likely to stack the convention again.  Paul usually has a whole posse including Gary Johnson and Judge Napolitano.  And this year perhaps Rand Paul as well.

Now the enemies of Islamofascism, like blogger Pamela Gellar, whose work I usually like, seem to have it in for Norquist (who is also a GOProud supporter and perhaps a closet Paulista), Keene (who started CPAC), and this Moslem conservative, who appeared at Grover's Wednesday meeting recently and said all these reports of his associations with Jihadists are lies, mainly traced back to one writer (who apparently according to people there had written earlier smears on other people. including claiming that Norquist was gay -- Norquist wife was there and said if Grover was gay all women should marry a gay (man).)

I go to eat drink and see old friends!

There are a variety of fee schedules for students and others.  Sometimes one can buy a cheaper ticket through one of the factions, like Campaign for Liberty (on their website).

Needed CPAC Insurgency: Oust Keene, Khan, Norquist ....

CPAC's Suhail Khan addressing Muslim Brotherhood front the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), co-conspirator in the largest Hamas funding terror trial:

"The early Muslims loved death, dying for the sake of almighty Allah, more than the oppressors loved life," said an impassioned Khan, who wiped away tears throughout his speech. "This must be the case when we are fighting."

He added: "What are our oppressors going to do with a people like us? We are prepared to give our lives for the cause of Islam."

I have long been aware of the stealth islamization of CPAC leadership, but held my events there in the hopes that we might snatch back leadership. David Keene has stacked the board with Islamic supremacists, and their chief diabolical Islamic apologist is none other than the infamous Grover Norquist. If the 10,000 CPAC attendees knew who and what was driving the bus, they would take to the Marriott like villagers with torches. Last year, mine was the only event that spoke to jihad and the war on the West.

And this year, CPAC 2011: Ground Zero Mosque

Last February I wrote that a number of people had questioned my choice of venue for AFDI's historical counter-jihad event I held. Many feel, and rightly so, that the American Conservative Union (ACU) – the political Right's largest and most influential grassroots umbrella organization and sponsor of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) -- has abandoned conservative principles and morphed into some fleshy, ambiguous, compromised political machine doling out money and favors for cronies, when it is doing anything at all. (More on that here.)

There was a time I was asked to speak, or at least introduce, notables at CPAC. But once I started to criticize CPAC, Keene, and the jihadists on the ACU board like Grover Norquist and Suhail Kahn, those invites quickly stopped. And I lost my Newsmax gig: Norquist Nexis: Newsmax Nixes Atlas.

More on my coverage of Grover here: Grover Norquist's Jihad, American Thinker

Grover Norquist Hiss -- Atlas Shrugs

Pamela Geller, Frontpage Magazine Interview: Grover Norquist

Most Republicans cringe when they hear Grover's name; he is sleazy and they know it, but he has big money (from where?) and he spreads it around.

And David Keene, President of the ACU, is now suspected of embezzling $400,000 from CPAC. He must go.

Now this:  "Moderate Muslim" Suhail Khan's stealth jihadist ties and hair-raising jihadist statements Jihadwatch

NorquistKhan.jpg

Connections to Alamoudi, who is serving 23 years in prison for jihad finance activity, connections to Hamas-linked CAIR, connections to Hamas-linked ISNA -- and check out Khan's own words: "The early Muslims loved death, dying for the sake of almighty Allah, more than the oppressors loved life. This must be the case when we are fighting....What are our oppressors going to do with a people like us? We are prepared to give our lives for the cause of Islam."

You gonna strap on a suicide vest, there, Suhail?

This is a man who has exerted an extraordinarily negative influence upon conservatives, selling them a bill of goods about the Religion of Peace and about himself, and aiding the execrable Grover Norquist in opening the corridors of power to Islamic supremacists. He was also the relentlessly biased "moderator" of what amounted to a two-against-one debate I had at CPAC 2007 with Dinesh D'Souza -- they still ended up losing, not because I'm a great debater but because the facts weren't on their side. Yet though he was willing to tip that playing field with deceit and detours, he won't debate me one-on-one, and has ducked repeated invitations to do so.

What are you afraid of, Suhail? Being unmasked even more than you already have been?

"A GOP 'moderate Muslim' -- or not," by Paul Sperry in the New York Post, January 10:

Suhail Khan, a major Republican supporter of the Ground Zero mosque, has been lobbying GOP leaders on the Hill to back off their opposition. He's got their ear, mainly because he portrays himself as a moderate, patriotic Muslim. Yet newly surfaced videos contradict that.

Khan, a Bush administration vet who sits on the board of the American Conservative Union, assures skeptics that "Park 51 community center" imam Feisal Rauf is a "moderate." Fears over the mosque are overblown, he insists, fomented by "anti-Muslim bigotry." In a recent letter to fellow Republicans, he warned the party was "alienating millions of Arab-American and Muslim-American voters."

But Khan's assurances ring hollow against his own connections to radicals. While he strenuously denies such ties, evidence has emerged -- including exclusive video footage -- that exposes Khan comfortably in the company of known Islamic extremists. Consider:

* In June 2001, Khan personally accepted an award from the now-notorious Abdurahman Alamoudi, then head of the American Muslim Council.

* "We have with us a dear brother," Alamoudi said as he prepared to honor Khan with a plaque at the group's annual conference. "I'm really proud to be with Suhail Khan. Some of you saw him today in the White House, but inshallah [Allah willing], you will see him in better places in the White House, inshallah."

Khan thanked his patron, saying "Abdurahman Alamoudi has been very supportive of me. . . . I hope, inshallah, we can keep working together."

Just days earlier, Sen. Arlen Specter of the Judiciary Committee had cited a New York Post report documenting how Alamoudi had supported terrorists and "declared an interest in destroying America." By 2003, Alamoudi had been busted for plotting a terrorist attack; the top al Qaeda fundraiser is now serving 23 years in federal prison.

* In September 2001, four days before the 9/11 attacks, Khan spoke at the Islamic Society of North America's convention. Introducing him was Jamal Barzinji, whose offices and home were raided by federal agents after 9/11. "Barzinji is not only closely associated with PIJ [Palestinian Islamic Jihad], but also with Hamas," according to the search-warrant affidavit. (A lawyer for Barzinji, who has not been charged, says he is the victim of a government "witch hunt.")

At the event, Khan shared his experiences from "inside" the White House, and praised his late father, Mahboob Khan, for helping found ISNA -- which the government now says is a front for the radical Muslim Brotherhood and has raised money for jihad. The founding documents of the Brotherhood's operation in America (recently seized by the FBI) reveal that it is in this country to "destroy" the Constitution and replace it with Islamic law.

Khan's father also helped found the Muslim Community Association in Santa Clara, Calif. This Khan family mosque is listed in the Muslim Brotherhood's own documents as one of "our organizations." In the 1990s, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, it hosted Ayman al-Zawahiri -- now al Qaeda's No. 2 -- as he toured the US raising money.

Khan vowed in his speech to carry on his father's "legacy."

* Speaking at ISNA's 1999 conference, Khan exhorted Muslims to sacrifice their lives to "protect our fellow brothers and sisters" in "Palestine" and Iraq and those held in the US as terrorist suspects.

* More recently, in March 2008, Khan led a private Council on American-Islamic Relations workshop with Jihad Saleh Williams of the Congressional Muslim Staff Association on how to "jump-start" a career on the Hill....

The non-profit organization responsible for the largest annual conservative gathering in the U.S. is under investigation for embezzlement of hundreds of thousands of dollars in donor money over several years, WND reported December 15.

The American Conservative Union, headed by David Keene and best known for its organization of the Conservative Political Action Conference each year in the nation's capital, has been embroiled in controversies in recent years, but this one is shaking the foundations of the Washington institution.

The American Conservative Union reported to the Internal Revenue Service last month a "material diversion of the organization's assets" totaling over $400,000. The group has an annual operating budget of about $1.5 million.

While directors have been tight-lipped about the details, sources say Keene's ex-wife, Diana, was fired earlier this year as bookkeeper when the misappropriations were discovered.

He has got to go.

Washington Post: By Judy Sarasohn

The Carmen Group, which in the past year has made a play for business in Africa and hired strategically to make that happen, has scored a substantial lobbying client — the government of Algeria.

While it might not be in the Indian casino range, the fee is a healthy $25,000 a month, for a total of $300,000 for the one-year term of the contract, according to the Carmen Group's Foreign Agents Registration Act filing with the Justice Department. The shop also filed a lobby registration with Congress.

And for these fees, the Carmen Group says it will work to strengthen relations between the Algerian and U.S. governments and expand trade, through government relations and "strategic advice." The Carmen team will brief U.S. policymakers, "project an up-to-date image of Algeria" and promote congressional, public and media support for "Algeria's legitimate interests and policy goals," according to the FARA report. The shop will also promote contacts with U.S. business interests.

David Keene, a managing associate at Carmen and chairman of the American Conservative Union, is responsible for managing the firm's services for Algeria, according to the contract with Algeria. But also on the team: the aforementioned David Carmen, Gerald Carmen, John Ladd, Constance Berry Newman, William Outhier, Paul Marisa and Charles Williams.

Re: Drowning in a Sea of Right Wing Extremism, Prejudice, and Bigotry

But Tommy, if you're interested in balanced discussion you really need
to stop parrot writings from the far left. Consider this opening
post...

* Border security.. a problem that was every bit a hot button under
Bush as it is under Obama. The people doing the patrolling are not
anti-immigrant vigilante groups, they are people who are demanding of
our government to protect our borders and stop allowing violence from
Mexico to bleed into our country. That is NOT racism; that is not
right wing extremism. They simply want the violence to end, and to see
this country enforce existing immigration laws. If you can show how
that is extremism or racism, please do so. In the mean time I will
consider the accusations for what they are; unfounded hateful rhetoric
from the left as well as either ignorance or unwillingness to address
the problems.

* Dupnik, a sheriff actively involved in the attack on Saturday,
spouting off about how right wing extremism caused the attack, only to
later have to admit there is absolutely no evidence to support his
claims. His comments alone created much of the uncivil discourse that
arose from the attack, yet the author of the article you copied over
seems to think his opinion is important enough to quote him. It is
not. He's been unprofessional and an embarrassment to the Pima County
Sheriff's dept, and he has been dead wrong in his diatribe.

* The shooting deaths of 6 and the wounding of 14 others brought the
issue of mental health to the forefront. If there is an Arizona
crisis, it had nothing to do with the attack. Now I know this comes as
crushing defeat to those who wanted to somehow pin this on members of
the right wing, but as we approach nearly a week since the shooting,
by almost all accounts, the shooting was the result of a deranged
individual who seemed to be mad at everyone and who had a three year
fixation on Congresswoman Giffords. Nothing specific from the right -
no individual; no policy; no writings; no organizations - can be
linked to the shooter, yet desperate attackers from the left still try
to fabricate linkage.

* Steven Anderson - Wow, imagine that... there are people and even
groups who do not like President Obama or his policies. Gee, we never
saw that while President Bush was in office.. or President Clinton..
or... I mean, come on. That entire third paragraph is written as if
the right wing, anti-Obama crowd is doing something that's never been
done against other parties, other candidates or other elected
officials. How stupid to even write that stuff except to keep stirring
the mud.

* The shooting (or kicking out) of Giffords office window; "...an
attack possibly inspired by a far-Right anti-government militia
leader's...". Really now. "far-Right anti-government militia". That
sounds like more uncivil discourse from the left and less an official
designation. And it's unfortunate because, as the author noted when he
wrote "an attack POSSIBLY inspired...", responsibility was never
confirmed. It could also have been inspired by the far-Left which
felt Obama's healthcare didn't go nearly far enough and was angry with
Gifford for accepting such a compromise.

Tommy, everyone has their political bias and tend to read/listen/watch
accordingly. But to truly be informed, you need to balance your
sources, maintain an open mind, and thoughtfully come to conclusions
you can at least make an honest attempt to defend. This thread is
really just more of the same from you - predictable hate spam from far
left attack sites. What would really be refreshing would be to see you
start a thread with something from a right leaning source, and then
original thought from you challenging the conclusions. Now that would
be constructive...

That Dear Tommy is exactly the problem.... other members do post their views.... You "cut and paste" yours. Other than to scream "foul" i have yet to see an original posting from you.

By the way.... The German III Reich was a left wing organization NOT right wing. You can't even seem to get that right. National SOCIALIST Party.

You are so short on FACT you leave the members no choice but to ridicule your ignorance; and when ignorance is incurable (such as yours) it is an indicator of stupidity or early onset Alzheimer.

Defending myself from those vicious personal insults and attacks is my right.
