China to build a CITY in the USA With all Chinese workers and
inhabitants !!!
  Idaho: Chinese Communist Invasion?

http://www.moneyteachers.org/Idaho+Communist+Invasion.htm
The Chinese Communist Party is the majority owner of a company that is
looking to build a self-sustained city, with international airport, in
Boise Idaho. The fact that the Chinese Communist Party also owns the
Chinese military, and has made repeated threats against American
interests, is lost on Idaho politicians.
"The proposal could get a boost from this year's voter-approved
constitutional amendment that allows the airport to borrow money to
build facilities that can be leased to companies on a long-term basis.
The airport commission also has the authority to grant long-term leases
and landing rights to air carriers, including those from China."
(Source)
The fact that Chinese Communists would have the ability to bring in
military equipment undetected, if such a lease were given, seems to
escape the Governor of the State of Idaho, who visited China and
extended the offer to the Communists to do business in his state. For
those of you wondering how many American jobs this proposal would
create, the answer is zero, nada, none. In essence we are talking about
a Communist Chinese, self-contained community, on American soil. Other
Idaho projects seem equally mystifying.
The Idaho Regional Center, a company developing the Gold Hill Mine near
Placerville and Blackhawk on the River near McCall, has millions of
dollars in escrow from Chinese investors awaiting approval of green
cards from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Once approved, the
money will be released and the gold processing plant is expected to go
into production, said Sima Muroff, head of the regional center.
Several other regional centers have started in the state. They allow
investors a chance to get green cards in exchange for investments of
$500,000 to $1 million.
In the United States, it is possibly to invest in foreign companies
without becoming a citizen of their country. The fact that the money
from these Chinese Communist "investors" is conditioned on their being
approved for Green Card's should also raise a few eyebrows. A simple
Visa would allow them to visit their mining property. These colonization
efforts, at a time when the situation in North Korea could escalate into
World War III, seem to be dubious at best. China is preparing for war
with the United States and its Asian Allies: "CHINA is preparing for
conflict ''in every direction'', its Defence Minister says.
''In the coming five years, our military will push forward preparations
for military conflict in every strategic direction,'' General Liang
Guanglie said in an interview published by state-backed newspapers in
China.
''We may be living in peaceful times, but we can never forget war, never
send the horses south or put the bayonets and guns away.'' (Source)
These Chinese Communist business ventures on American show very little
benefit, if any, for the America Economy. Communist Chinese Communities
employing, well, Chinese Communists to compete with American
businesesses that hire American workers just seems like a bad idea. "A
year ago, China froze substantive military relations in protest at US
arms sales to Taiwan and relations deteriorated further this summer when
China objected to US plans to deploy a nuclear aircraft carrier, the USS
George Washington, in the Yellow Sea off the Korean Peninsula. China
also announced this month it was preparing to launch its own aircraft
carrier next year. The news emerged a year earlier than many US defence
analysts had predicted.
China is also working on a ballistic missile that could sink aircraft
carriers from afar, fundamentally reordering the balance of power in a
region dominated by the US since the end of World War II." (Ibid)
Keeping your friends close and your enemies closer might not be the best
policy for the people of Idaho. While the average American continues to
endure the humiliation of TSA strip-searches and pat downs, giving a
known enemy unimpeded access to your international airports, without any
oversight, seems a little out of whack.

Carson Wins Freeman Prize for Economic Writing

Much deserved - many congratulations SIG

http://c4ss.org/?p=5803

A release from the Foundation for Economic Education:

The first annual Beth A. Hoffman Memorial Prize for Economic Writing has
been awarded to Kevin A. Carson, the Foundation for Economic Education
announced. Through the generosity of a FEE donor, the prize has been
established to honor the memory of Beth A. Hoffman by recognizing the
best article on economics or economic history published in /The Freeman
/the previous year.

Carson's article, "The Distorting Effects of Transportation Subsidies,"
<http://www.thefreemanonline.org/featured/the-distorting-effects-of-transportation-subsidies/>
appeared in the November 2010 issue of /The Freeman/. It was selected
from a list of five nominees by an outside panel of judges who knew and
worked with Beth Hoffman for many years.

The prize consists of $2,000 and a plaque. A perpetual plaque will also
be displayed at FEE's headquarters.

The upshot of Carson's winning article is that "subsidies to
transportation have probably done more than any other factor (with the
possible exception of intellectual property law) to determine the
present shape of the American corporate economy. Currently predominating
firm sizes and market areas are the result of government subsidies to
transportation."

Beth Hoffman (1950-2008) was the long-time managing editor of /The Freeman/.

Re: Sarah Palin: The "Blood Libel" in Tucson mass shooting is on Her Own Hands, but is also on ours.

What if the President gave a speech and his minions didn't pay attention?

Wonkbot Fireside Chat: It Is Jewish Blood Libel To Annoy the Wonkbot

My comment on the Wonkering (click link) above:

It's not a Jewish problem and it's not a libel, but I believe I just saw a stadium full of Democratic Party vultures make matzoh out of a 9 year old girl's corpse, to build up their strength before they go out to meet a bad fate in 2012.

Their leader was even telling them not to eat more children in public (though they are still allowed to round up black kids
and sell them to educrat unions for campaign donations) and to behave better in general, because he had read the polls on how the majority of people rejected their smears (smears like this Wonkette article) last week. But they cawed and cackled and didn't listen to him, and tore out her heart and liver and ate them on national TV anyway.

And whooped with delight at the taste.

Alan Dershowitz Defends Sarah Palin's Use of Term 'Blood Libel'

by Publius

In an exclusive statement, famed attorney and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz defended Sarah Palin's use of the term "blood libel" from multiple detractors. As the Media Matters/MSM/Democrat narrative on the Tucson tragedy unravels, they are getting a lot more desperate in their attacks on Palin. Fortunately, there are still plenty of honest liberals around:

The term "blood libel" has taken on a broad metaphorical meaning in public discourse. Although its historical origins were in theologically based false accusations against the Jews and the Jewish People, its current usage is far broader. I myself have used it to describe false accusations against the State of Israel by the Goldstone Report. There is nothing improper and certainly nothing anti-Semitic in Sarah Palin using the term to characterize what she reasonably believes are false accusations that her words or images may have caused a mentally disturbed individual to kill and maim. The fact that two of the victims are Jewish is utterly irrelevant to the propriety of using this widely used term.

Sarah Palin: The "Blood Libel" in Tucson mass shooting is on Her Own
Hands, but is also on ours.

In Palin's version of events, her controversial actions represented
common cause with Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), who a few days
before being critically wounded in the mass shooting had read the
First Amendment on the House floor.

"Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own," Palin said in the
statement. "They begin and end with the criminals who commit them, not
collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who
listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both
sides of the aisle, not with law-abiding citizens who respectfully
exercise their First Amendment rights at campaign rallies, not with
those who proudly voted in the last election."

Palin's statement contained an instance of provocative religious
imagery that might be missed by more secular voters who read her
statement, but which likely will be recognized by the religious
conservatives who constitute such an important part of her following.

Within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should
not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very
hatred and violence they purport to condemn," she wrote. "That is
reprehensible."

"Blood libel" is a phrase that refers to a centuries-old anti-Semitic
slander - the false charge that Jews use the blood of Christian
children for rituals - that has been used as an excuse for
persecution. The phrase was first used in connection with response to
the Arizona shootings in an opinion piece in Monday's Wall Street
Journal and has been picked up by others on the right.

Palin's defensiveness was apparent in the indirect reference to
criticism of a map on Palin's Web site during the midterm elections
that showed districts of congressional Democrats she had targeted for
defeat marked with crosshairs.

Giffords, whose district was one of those 20, had publicly complained
that this was an invitation to violence.

Palin's statement comes as President Obama is headed to Tucson to
speak at a service for the victims, and guarantees that her
perspective will be part of the storyline of the day.

In its careful timing and deliberate language, it also represents a
departure from her previous attention-getting Facebook posts and
tweets, many of which were reflexive spasms to even small criticisms.

On Thanksgiving, for instance, as most of the nation was still
sleepily digesting turkey dinners, she issued an angry blast at Obama
and the media, recalling a gaffe the president made during the 2008
campaign. It was an apparent reaction to the fact that she herself had
been ridiculed for a slip of the tongue in which she referred to North
Korea as South Korea.

"The one-word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven
back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the
American public about the important, world-changing issues before us,"
Palin wrote. "If the media had bothered to actually listen to all of
my remarks on Glenn Beck's radio show, they would have noticed that I
refer to South Korea as our ally throughout, that I corrected myself
seconds after my slip-of-the-tongue, and that I made it abundantly
clear that pressure should be put on China to restrict energy exports
to the North Korean regime."

Those kinds of outbursts could be fatal in a presidential campaign,
and stand as a stark contrast to the statement that Palin released
Wednesday.

Is Sarah Palin to Blame for the Tucson Shootings or Are We All?

The Washington Post and numerous other news agencies are discussing a
potential connection between a graphic released by Sarah Palin's Take
Back the 20 campaign and the Jan. 8 shooting of Arizona
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Giffords is in intensive care as a result of
Jared Loughner's one-man rampage that left six people dead and 14
injured. The graphic in question was used in the 2010 midterm
elections. It featured 20 crosshairs with each set meant to denote a
seat up for re-election that was held by representatives who voted for
health care reform. Crosshairs covered Giffords' district.

Almost immediately after the shooting, the media picked up the story
of Palin's map and it targeting Giffords' congressional seat. At
first, Palin did not address this part of the developing story in
Tucson and instead extended condolences to Giffords' family and the
families of the other victims via her Facebook page on Saturday
afternoon, according to TMZ.

However, members of Palin's political action committee did offer
commentary by suggesting that the markings were denoting a map
location. But when messages were released by Palin promoting the
graphic, she used the words "Don't Retreat -- Instead RELOAD."

A map is not reloaded. A gun is reloaded.

Because of this graphic and the word choices that followed its issue,
are Palin and the tea party movement somehow responsible for the
shooting of Giffords and innocent bystanders at her public meeting in
Tucson?

The answer is "Yes." They are responsible. But they are only
responsible to the extent that every American who engages in partisan
politics is responsible. The level of American political discourse has
trickled down from a creation point of heated debate with an air of
respect to a cesspool of rhetoric best encapsulated in the phrase "You
are either for us, or you are against us."

Fwd: Events for DC Downsizers

This is an event-filled message. It includes . . .

* A radio interview this afternoon
* An appearance at a Young Americans for Liberty's conference on January 22
* The Nullify Now! tour, for which DownsizeDC.org is a national sponsor. I will be speaking at one, possibly two of these events.

Let's get to the details . . .

TODAY (Friday, January 14) I'll appear on Straight Talk w/Jerry Hughes.

I've been doing this show, most Friday afternoons, since December, 2006. Because I am on the program every week, we get way past the standard soundbites, "What is DownsizeDC.org? ...Tell us about the Read the Bills Act? ...Etc."

I never know what to expect, and frequently, Jerry puts me on the spot. It is a warm, deep, and compelling conversation -- unlike anything I've ever heard on Talk Radio. Will you join us?

I'll be on for an hour, starting at 3:07 PM Eastern (2:07 PM Central, 1:07 PM Mountain, 12:07 PM Pacific). You can listen online: http://www.accentradionetwork.com/chooseplayer.htm

----------

On Saturday, January 22, I will be speaking to the Young Americans for Liberty in Ohio. I'll be joined by a great line-up of speakers, including Jack Hunter, the Souther Avenger.

This FREE event runs from 9 - 5 PM.

Location?

Ohio Union at . . .
The Ohio State University
1739 N High St, Columbus, Ohio

Complete details are available on the web: http://yalosu.com/Ohiocon.html

Please, if you can, RSVP via Facebook events. Just type in the search box "YAL Ohio Conference!"

I will be speaking during the afternoon session, and hope to see you there (regardless of your age).

----------

The Nullify Now! tour returns in January, 2011!

DownsizeDC.org is a proud sponsor of these events and I strongly urge you to attend.

The 10th Amendment codifies in law that We the People of the several states created the federal government to be our agent for certain enumerated, or listed, powers - and nothing more.

The essential question of our day, though, is this - when the federal government violates these limits, what do we do about it? Remember the words of Thomas Jefferson who reminds us that the various states are, "the most competent administrations for our domestic concerns and the surest bulwarks against antirepublican tendencies."

In 1798, Jefferson wrote that "whensoever" the federal government "assumes undelegated powers," that a "nullification of the act is the rightful remedy."

Nullification is a powerful tactic we should add to our Downsize DC strategy.

Our friends at the Tenth Amendment Center put together three great Nullify Now! tour stops in 2010 - 2011 has plenty more in store. Get involved by getting your tickets now and take part of this growing movement for the Founders' Constitution today!

* Phoenix, AZ: January 29, 2011

* Cincinnati, OH: March 5, 2011 - Jim Babka, tentatively scheduled to appear.

* St. Paul, MN: April 2, 2011 - Featuring Jim Babka of DownsizeDC.org

* Austin, TX: April 16, 2011

* Los Angeles, CA:  May 28, 2011

Join me in attending a Nullify Now! event.

Have a great weekend,

Jim Babka

Re: Drowning in a Sea of Right Wing Extremism, Prejudice, and Bigotry

Violent Extremists:
"after Obama's health care plan passed through
Congress, the windows of Rep. Giffords' office in Tucson were
shattered by shots from a pellet gun, an attack possibly inspired by a
far-Right anti-government militia leader's call on his blog to "send a
message that [the Democrats] cannot fail to hear: break their
windows."

Now, 20 people have been shot in Tucson and six are dead.
