"Radiation scientists agree TSA naked body scanners could cause breast cancer and sperm mutations"

LinkedIn Groups

I find it amazing that there is no real public information regarding the dosage rate of these "safe" scanners. For example, are they the equivalent of a tenth of an x-ray? Then I would know if I fly 30 times a year that I would receive the equivalent of 3 additional x-rays a year. I am no luddite, but we are being exposed to a health risk without real discussion and without evaluation of the alternatives, ie what is the real statistical risk of dying from terrorism.

Re: **JP** Very important info about Pakistan

We should all vote for Imran Khan in the next Elections because
1. He is honest ,
2 what he says in public is what he is in the private meetings
3 we believe in him when he ask for charity means he is amanat dar
4 he is not a slave of america or any other country
5 he is brave
6 he is not a hypocrite
7 he feels and works for the poor people example is shokat khanam hospital
8 has got a good vision and grasp over the geopolitical situation
9 has got the roots deep in pakistan
10 he is educated
11 he is not corrupt
12 in politics for such a long time he has shown how much hard working he is, has got nothing to do with the filthy politics of our country
13 does not believe in the hereditary politics or leadership

so what more do we need in a leader.

and after all how many chances we are going to give to the same old faces, same politicians and same parties

Mitch McConnell: Don't' Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Won't Happen This Year, Tax Cuts Will Be Extended (VIDEO)

This obstrucionist behavior of the Republicans is dispicable. Call,
Fax and Write your two US Senators and DEMAND the repeal of DADT
during this session of Congress. They now claim that this is not the
right time to repeal DADT. Exactly why not? This month is the right
time and the only time, or this could take years when the new Grand
Obstrucionist Party led Congress is sworn in in January with thier
primary agenda being making the President of The United States fail.

Mitch McConnell: Don't' Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Won't Happen This Year,
Tax Cuts Will Be Extended (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON -- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sent a
message to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) repeal advocates on Sunday:
Don't hold your breath. He said the policy change is unlikely to
happen this year. He stated, however, that the prognosis for passing
an extension of unemployment benefits and tax cuts looks brighter.

The National Defense Authorization Act, said McConnell on NBC's "Meet
the Press" on Sunday, typically takes two weeks. "I don't see how we
can possibly finish the defense authorization bill, a two-week bill,
fully aside from these controversial items that are in it -- there are
a whole lot of other things in it -- before the end of the year."

When asked by host David Gregory whether he thinks there is enough
support to lift the ban on gays and lesbians serving openly in the
military, McConnell simply replied, "My personal view is that Sen.
McCain is correct on this. I tend to follow his lead. We'll find out
when we finally get around to debating this bill, which I think will
be before the end of the year." McCain, of course, has been one of the
most vocal opponents of repealing DADT, consistently finding new
explanations for supporting the ban.
