New Yahoo Group -- "The Unrepentant Patriots"

"If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."

-- Samuel Adams

Fellow Patriot:

For the last two years, a collection of dedicated patriots has worked strenuously under the auspices of a Google group known as The Unrepentant Patriots  to peacefully and philosophically oppose the efforts of the Legislative and Executive branches of the United States Government as those bodies have attempted to subvert and circumvent the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution, and thereby usurp the individual liberties of everyday Americans.  Our efforts have been recognized as singularly useful and effective, drawing praise from numerous quarters of the Patriot community.

We recently decided that Google's platform is no longer suitable for the continued growth and development of The Unrepentant Patriots, and accordingly we have established a new Yahoo group by the same name to support our efforts.

This is an official invitation for you to join the new Yahoo group.  We hope you will join us as we continue to work to "secure the blessings of Liberty" for our fellow citizens and the generations of Americans yet to come.

If you are a dedicated patriot seeking to network with like-minded Constitutionalists and lovers of liberty, please navigate to the following link to apply for membership.  Your request will be approved immediately.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TheUnrepentantPatriots/

If by chance you have already received an invitation to join the new Yahoo group, please excuse our oversight and simply discard this message.

Thanks, and………

May God save our Republic,

Germany: Demjanjuk trial meets after summer break

MUNICH, Germany (AP) -- Evidence presented at John Demjanjuk's trial suggests Ukrainian guards faced possibly deadly consequences if they attempted to flee Nazi death camps after agreeing to serve the SS.

In a 1943 letter from the Auschwitz death camp administration to authorities in Germany - read aloud Monday in court - officials report 15 Ukrainian guards attempted escape. Six succeeded, but one was recaptured and eight were killed.

The Ukrainian-born Demjanjuk, who is a retired Ohio auto worker, is being tried on 28,060 counts of accessory to murder on accusations he served at the Sobibor death camp.

He denies having served in a death camp. But his attorneys also argue that Ukrainians captured while fighting for the Soviets had little choice but to agree to serve the Nazis and then faced death if they tried to escape.

Ohio woman sentenced in Hurricane Katrina scam

HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) -- Prosecutors say a woman whose Louisiana home was destroyed in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina cheated Ohio's welfare system out of $13,000.

Authorities say Teri Rivarde moved to Ohio after the storm and falsified paperwork to qualify for food stamps and Medicaid benefits. Prosecutors say Rivarde lied about her husband being unemployed when he actually worked as an engineer and earned $100,000 in an eight-month span.

Rivarde was sentenced Monday to six months in jail, fined $500 and ordered to repay the $13,000. The 47-year-old Rivarde apologized to a judge in Butler County in southwest Ohio.

She was convicted in July of grand theft and two counts of tampering with records. Prosecutors say a caseworker discovered the falsehoods by comparing records with other Ohio agencies.
