Assistant Finance Manager
Internal Finance - Full-time
Job purpose:
To provide support to the SBU leaders and Finance Director, working proactively with UK partners, providing support and financial advice to enable them to make business decisions.
Job responsibilities:
Analyse and interpret financial performance
Communicate areas of weakness and work with partners to make corrective actions
Liaise with Country Business Unit "CBU" Finance managers to ensure Service Business Unit "SBU" Budgets and forecasts are consistent with the CBU models.
Assist in Business modelling as required by senior management
Communicate actual and forecast performance against the budget and non-financial indicators, providing explanations of variances
Financial Analysis as required by senior management
Liaising with other members of the finance team and other departments
Involvement in ad hoc project work
Work with Credit manager in ensuring billing and cash collection targets are maintained
FSA returns for Mazars Financial Planning Ltd
Statutory accounts for Mazars Financial Planning Ltd
Liaising with auditors for Mazars Financial Planning Ltd
Person Specification:
Finalist or newly qualified accountant
Ability to analyse and interpret financial performance using accounts and KPIs
Previous Budgeting and forecasting experience essential
Advanced excel skills
Systems literate
Able to manage your time effectively and work well with others in a team
Experience in a professional services firm an advantage
Experience of Oracle financials and Cognos Reporting an advantage
Excellent communication and numerical skills, with an attention to detail
Days of work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
