Republicans kept quiet so as not to mess up whatever the administration
was doing. That is something Harry Reid did not do when the Surge
happened and Harry was telling everyone that the Surge would not work
and we would lose in Iraq. Not the first time either. Tom Dewey did
the same sort of thing about Roosevelt and his health in 1944 and
Wendell Wilkie did it also in 1940. Shame the Dems don't do the same
but then every crisis is an opportunity not to be missed to them.
