Flood Relief
The PM announced setting up of a Flood Relief Fund and directed the federal ministers to donate one month’s salary to it. He also directed all federal government officers in Grade-17 and above to donate one-day salary for the flood victims. While it is a good step and all provincial government should follow suite, my only request to the authorities is that please do make sure that the relief does reach the flood affectees and not land up in the pockets of those entrusted with the sacred task of its distribution. I am sorry to say so, but this is what is complained far too often by the disaster hit public in
