New Dehli, August 26, 2010: In India, at least 200 trucks loaded with explosives were gone missing, while they were on their way from Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh, the police mentioned today.
Investigations are already in progress and police saying that it is hopeful to recover all the missing trucks. However, the local NGOs saying that the trucks are not likely to be found "with explosives". "Many similar consignments are gone missing in the recent past, as well. But no recovery of explosives could had been made." told by a police officer on the condition of anonymity. As least 165 trucks, carrying explosives, are confirmed as missing on their way from Rajasthan to Madhya Pradesh's Sagar and Ashok Nagar, a probe team has found.
The probe team had been constituted about 2 weeks before when not less than 60 trucks are reported, altogether, as missing. The trucks were dispatched from Dholpur based Rajasthan Explosives and Chemicals Limited to Ganesh Visfotak in Sagar.
The probe team is still collecting critical information from all sources but still is unable to reach to an end. Police said that different trucks are dispatched from different locations and also were booked for different destinations. Thus making it difficult for them to speed up the investigation.
Missing of trucks carrying explosives, mainly in mining are creating concerns amongst the Indian minorities. Who believe that all such materials goes to Hindu terrorists organisations. Which, then, use such explosives for terrorists activities like Samjhota express. Concerns also mounting on Pakistani side of the border, where police had captured Indian explosives many times in the past. In one incident in Karachi, police had arrested 5 suicide bombers and recovered from them, 100 Kg of Made in India explosives in October 2009. While on February 19, 2010, security forces recovered large quantity of Indian made explosives from Razmak area of South Waziristan. http://www.markthetruth.com/south-asia-a-afghanistan/785-200-explosives-laden-trucks-went-missing-in-india.html |
