21 new taxes
Dems Enact a Landslide of New Taxes Beginning 01 July 2010
By Jerry McConnell Saturday, July 17, 2010
A series of articles from Grover Norquist (Newsmax.com) in late June flagged us to a series of articles most of which covered the huge set of taxes on everything that breathes or not.
This is the shoe that we've been waiting to hear drop; only it will be more like a 100 megaton thunder clap that will ring in your ears and wallets for a long, long time. As we have all found out since the stealthy passage of ObamaCare by means of bribes, job offers, and traitorous actions of Dem Congresspersons who had said they would not vote for it but then did, as all untrustworthy Democrats are wont to do, there are a very high number of new taxes that will be imposed on Americans beginning in July 2010.
And believe me, it's just the beginning, my fellow country men and women. So far there have been 21 new taxes uncovered in the ultra large bill and as Grover Norquist via Newsmax.com reports that Obama had pledged that "no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase."
Well, guess what? He lied. But by now we also have found out that he does that with frequent regularity. It's part of his charm; lie to the people and SMILE showing all those glossy white teeth which we've also come to know to be as deadly as a shark's. I believe that the only time we can trust what he says is when he when he is not talking. In his case, silence is golden.
Maybe it doesn't sound like much, but the very first tax to go into effect from the ObamaCare bill will take effect on July 1 is the 10 percent excise tax on indoor tanning services, per Norquist. So, you say, my $10 session will cost me $11 now; big deal. Yes friend, big deal; but don't forget to add up the cumulative effect when all TWENTY ONE new taxes from this bill hit you between your greenbacks.
Norquist also explains that "at least seven (of these new taxes) directly break Obama's central campaign promise."
The big time spenders in Congress (liberal Democrats) have a plethora of other spending bills that shouldn't have necessarily been that way. These bills are part of the Congressional Financial Reform that liberals talk about a lot, but seldom DO anything about it.
They are now reconciling between the two houses H.R.4172 and S.3217 which even if fixed could seriously damage the financial state of banks and exchanges by adding heavy compliance costs damaging the American economy.
On May 25, 2010, The Heritage Foundation published a report written by Curtis Dubay and five other economists on the "tax extenders" provisions of all the financial bills under review for revised legislation. But, as the authors agreed, "Congress cannot kick its spending habit; this time using the extension of long-overdue tax-reducing provisions to increase spending by $174 billion. Even worse, Congress has crammed a job-destroying tax-hike. into an otherwise necessary bill."
The authors also reported that Congress will be using popular "must-pass" tax provisions to hide huge new spending increases. These are called "tax extenders" such as R&D credit for businesses and deductions for property taxes for individuals with yearly expirations unless extended by Congress.
But like Rahm Emmanuel in the Oval Office not letting an opportunity go to waste, Congress has packed this extenders bill with a lot of spending increases and tax hikes all unrelated to the intent of the original bill which per the Congressional Budget Office will increase spending by $174 billion with $40 billion in new taxes over 10 years. The result is an increase in the cumulative deficit of $134 billion during that time.
This exercise is called the Chris Dodd - Barney Frank bill because those two crooks have their fingerprints all over it and when that happens; the public always gets harpooned.
Another potential block-buster tax hike may come from our government's wanting to control the Internet which concurrently would call for regulations with taxation. Seems as though everybody wants to control the Internet; the FCC has been trying to take control under what is called "Net Neutrality".
The Department of Homeland Security, which is so poorly managing its own established rules of responsibility and receiving severe criticism, would also like to exercise control to monitor terrorist activities, translated to "spy on U. S. conservatives" to keep up with their activities. They aren't interested in foreign terrorists, just domestic, like conservatives.
So at the present moment, a grand total of THREE government entities are vying to not only be boss of the Internet, but drown any innovative and beneficial unregulated and untaxed activities along with entrepreneurial job opportunities of a free market. Pray all of them fail.
Grover Norquist through Newsmax from the ATR website on May 26, 2010, continues the unwanted news of the surge of new taxes Congress is planning for us low-lifes who have to pay them reporting now that the liberal Democrats want to QUADRUPLE the tax on oil, costing oil producers $11billion in taxes which they pass along to us.
Amusingly, Norquist adds that "apparently Harry Reid the Democrat Senate leader is confused about how taxes work by saying 'Taxpayers will not pick up the tab.' When the price of a barrel of oil goes up, gasoline prices at the pump increase." For me, that alone would be reason enough to want Reid out of the Congress in November.
The current tax on oil is .08 cents per barrel. The Senate liberal Dems want to raise it to .32 cents per barrel or quadruple the current tax. And that is just the tax; the cost of the oil itself is of course pegged to market conditions as well as supplies. The terribly exorbitant costs of losses of the oil itself along with the clean-up and compensations will certainly have a decided effect on the price of the oil itself. So get ready for "oil shock."
And these increases will affect ALL energy applications in every facet of our daily lives, for which the Congress is always ready to accommodate with fresh new or upwards adjusted taxes.
Congressional liberal Democrats and Obama are also contriving ways to provide taxpayer dollars to bail out failing labor union pension plans. This bit of chicanery and bowing to the sleazy and corrupt unions that provided many millions of dollars of their members' dues money to assist Obama and liberal Democrat Congressmen and women to get elected.
By the time you read this you can be sure that the devious collection of liberal Congress people will have come up with many more ways of capturing your hard-earned wages in the form of unfair taxes for slush funds and giveaways. They don't care about you; it's all for the votes.
