**JP** The Solution

Hi,

My article "The Solution," which appeared in today's (Oct. 7) The Nation, follows .  Please post it on your blog.  This is the original script. The newspaper was slightly edited for lack of space.

NOTES FROM A SOCIAL SCIENTIST

The Solution!!

By Dr. Haider Mehdi

"Hathi ke dant  khane ke aur dikhane ke aur (deception is always concealed)."

An Urdu proverb

"We are fighting an unwinnable war… and we have tasked our military with solving an insoluble problem: how to win over a people whose land we've occupied. Our military leaders, in response, are forced to invent plausible reasons explaining why they've been unable to accomplish the impossible. The 'blame Pakistan narrative' serves that purpose admirably."

  - Justin Raimondo, Are We At War With Pakistan?

As a political analyst and student of American domestic politics and its inter-relatedness with foreign policy, I am willing to assume that the recent threatening rhetoric coming out of Obama's administration against Pakistan's military establishment was, in fact, primarily an exercise in domestic political control. Having seen no way to achieve a military victory or dictated peace in Afghanistan and, in view of the American presidential election next year, the Obama "killing machine" high command suddenly went into overdrive against the Pakistani army and its primary intelligence service, the ISI.

What if the Obama administration, in absolute desperation, facing the possible loss of the presidential bid for his second term, escalates the "war of words" into yet another highly organized and media-supported military campaign on Pakistani soil under the pretext of incapacitating its newly-fabricated enemy, the Haqqani network? Truth does not matter in the American political notion of "might is right" and "the end justifies the means." Indeed, the Obama administration is fully knowledgeable of the Haqqani presence in Afghanistan, its political association with the Afghan Taliban movement and its allegiance to Mullah Omar's leadership. And yet, the US might insist that the Haqqani network is a distinct political entity affiliated with Pakistan's intelligence agency and controlled by the ISI, with its armed wing freely operating from Pakistani territory – in spite of all the evidence to the contrary.

Consequently, a new US military offensive starts on Pakistani territory.  American public attention is deflected from domestic issues and the US military-political failures in Afghanistan and Iraq. A new enemy is fabricated, demonized, attacked, bombed, and killed. And Obama wins the presidential election for a second term. The American dream lives on: yes, the US once again proves itself to be the only global superpower. The gullible American public is happy and reassured of their country's immense military might.  Another war continues.  America sells more arms.  It engineers more regional and global conflicts.  American corporate interests flourish. Pakistan is destabilized. India becomes a regional superpower. US-Nato alliance with India and other nations in the region set the final stage for the containment of China. White nations' historical supremacy remains intact.  Imperialism lives on.

The Pakistani nation is faced with innumerable dangerous but plausible political-military scenarios. And any of these possible threats might turn out to be absolutely real: we are being openly threatened politically and militarily. This is a realistic assessment of the prevailing pernicious situation on ground. America will attack Haqqani family members on Pakistani territory (though the armed network is in Afghanistan)  – drone attacks will increase, covert military activities will accelerate, suicide bombings will expand, the US media will go on a political rampage against Pakistan, and American military surgical strikes are a real possibility. We are about to face a crisis of monumental scale.

When a nation is in a state of war or serious national crisis, as Pakistan is now, the Islamabad All Parties Conference communiqué (of September 29th) does not offer substantive solutions to its problematics. Communiqués, by their very nature, are only a reflection of presumed intentions; they are not actual political acts in themselves. Their value is abstract in nature and expressed in a non-reality format which is removed from ground actualities. And it avoids the need for instant engagement with the prevailing crisis. Hence, such conferences and communiqués become political theatrics rather than actual solutions to the problems at hand.

The real solutions lie in strategic political-military management and decision-making initiatives in the appropriate context of the crisis and an instant head-on engagement with the problems so as to resolve them: these decisions have to be decisive, rationally approached, applicable and policy- orientated and expressed with absolute clarity of purpose and form to our adversaries. Unfortunately, the Zardari-Gilani regime has not done so in the wake of Admiral Mullen's testimony before the US Senate and the assault on Pakistan's army by the American media and the Obama administration. Perhaps Islamabad is not willing to do so; perhaps the Zardari-Gilani regime is incapable of taking such bold and decisive policy decisions to counteract American verbal aggression that might later turn into a military threat, overt or covert, against Pakistan.

In my own considered opinion, Admiral Mullen/Obama/American media's accusations against Pakistan have, in fact, offered us a window of opportunity to correct our foreign policy discourse and set up a new direction to our alliances with the US, Nato, Afghanistan and the rest of the global community.

First and foremost, instead of denying Pakistan's link to the Haqqani network, we should make it clear to Obama's administration that we have a historical-political association with them. We should remind Barrack Obama that these are the same people who were American mujahidin heroes in the US war against the Soviets.

Two: We should tell Obama that the Haqqani network is our asset: a valuable ally whose massive political influence and military presence in Afghanistan can be the decisive leverage in bringing about an instant peaceful settlement in Afghanistan.

Three: Pakistan can use its influence with the Haqqani network for bringing the Afghans and the Americans to a negotiation table. If the US gives peace a chance, it would greatly enhance Obama's popularity domestically and guarantee his re-election for the second term.

Four: The US-Nato war is unwinnable in Afghanistan because it is against an entire nation and people – its expansion into Pakistan will not be in the interest of American long-range regional and global objectives. It is time to put the "war on terror" behind and treat Pakistan as an ally in seeking peace – the mantra of "do more" is now absolutely unacceptable.

Five: Pakistan must immediately disengage itself from the so-called "war on terrorism" and stop all military operations all over the country. It should immediately engage in dialogue with all warring factions, including the Taliban, for political settlement of all issues facing the country. Pakistan needs to clearly tell Obama that the "war on terror" is not our war and it is in Pakistan's national interest to stop this destructiveness against our own people –  as long as this war continues,  internal violence will continue to accelerate. We have had enough of it – no matter if financial aid is cut or not.

Six: Pakistan should make necessary military preparations to respond to any likely US-Nato aggression.

Seven: Pakistan needs to tell the US to stop drone attacks on its territory. We will react with a stern step-by-step military and diplomatic response should the US continue to disregard our vital domestic concerns and further violate our sovereignty.

We must have faith and respect of our own political judgments – only then will the others respect us!

Have we not had enough of concealed deceptions in the name of democracy!

Now that the APC theatrics are over, the curtain has fallen on the stage where the Zardari-Gilani regime's political charade was being played out.  Now let us get to work on some real issues.

Smackdown of the Proposed Millionaire Tax

October7th
Smackdown of the Proposed Millionaire Tax
Tom Woods

A 5.6% surtax on incomes over $1 million is being contemplated as a way of paying for the president's "jobs plan," which underscores the phoniness of the "jobs."  Over at EconomicPolicyJournal.com a reader writes:

First off, like everyone in the media, you are leaving off Obamacare taxes which come into effect in 2012. They will add another possible 4 points to your top tax rate, bringing it to almost 50%.

I love the logic of the class warfare dems. They want to pass a jobs bill that is full of one time tax cuts for job creators and then they propose to pay for it with permanent tax increases on job creators. If higher taxes don't impede job creation, then why include tax cuts in your jobs bill? Why not save the money?

If something like this did actually go through, it would be good for states with no income taxes as people in states like CA, NJ, IL, NY would be pushed over the 50% mark. You can also bet that massive tax fraud will come back into vogue as it was before the 80s.

They should call this the "rent seekers jobs bill" as the only jobs the bill is assured of creating are government jobs. The last thing I want to do is hire more cops, firefighters or teachers. The cops and firefighters are out of control compensation and benefit wise and are making local government unaffordable. Many retire at age 49 with a pension worth millions. Local governments are finally addressing this issue and ratcheting back compensation and benefits in an effort to make these services affordable once again. This bill will delay that effort and set up local government for a massive problem down the road. As nice as it may seem to some to make people millionaires with taxpayer money, it is not sustainable and grossly unfair to the average taxpayer.

Feds to design health insurance for the masses

Feds to design health insurance for the masses
By RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR
Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The federal government is taking on a crucial new role in the nation's health care, designing a basic benefits package for millions of privately insured Americans. A framework for the Obama administration was released Thursday.

The report by independent experts from the Institute of Medicine lays out guidelines for deciding what to include in the new "essential benefits package," how to keep it affordable for small businesses and taxpayers, and also scientifically up to date.

About 68 million Americans, many of them currently insured, ultimately would be affected by the new benefits package. That's bigger than the number of seniors enrolled in Medicare.

The advisers recommended that the package be built on mid-tier health plans currently offered by small employers, expanded to include certain services such as mental health, and squeezed into a real-world budget.

They did not spell out a list of services to cover, but they did recommend that the government require evidence of cost effectiveness.

"In this day and age, when we are talking about fiscal responsibility, it's a report that recognized that we have to take account of what we can afford while trying to make sure that people have adequate coverage," said panel member Elizabeth McGlynn, director of Kaiser Permanente's center for effectiveness and safety research.

Until now, designing benefits has been the job of insurers, employers and state officials. But the new health care law requires insurance companies to provide at least the federally approved package if they want to sell to small businesses, families and individuals through new state markets set to open in 2014.

Most existing workplace plans won't be required to adopt the federal model, but employers and consumer advocates alike predict it will become the nation's benchmark for health insurance over time.

With the nation divided over President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law, and Republicans condemning it as a government takeover, the administration reacted cautiously to the recommendations.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a statement that officials would hold "listening sessions" around the country before any final decisions are made, which could take months. The IOM panel recommended an extensive effort to engage the public.

"Before we put forward a proposal, it is critical that we hear from the American people," Sebelius said. The law extends coverage to about 30 million uninsured people.

Actually, work on the benefits package is already well under way within the HHS department. On the outside, a huge lobbying campaign to shape the final package is about to take off.

Employer groups - particularly those representing low-wage industries - want to keep benefits fairly basic. Since the government is going to be subsidizing coverage for millions of people, a generous plan will drive up costs for taxpayers, they argue. But consumer and patient advocacy groups that helped pass the overhaul law want to make sure their priorities are included.

The health care law requires that essential benefits include outpatient, hospital, emergency, maternal, newborn and children's care, prescription drugs, mental health and substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation, labs, prevention and wellness. But Congress gave the administration lots of leeway to determine the specifics.

In its 300-page report, the Institute of Medicine panel stressed that the package has to be affordable if Obama's overhaul is going to stand the test of time.

The panel used the analogy of a shopper at the supermarket. One option is to fill up your cart with all the groceries you want, and find out the cost at the register.

"The other option is to walk into the store with a firm idea of what you can spend and to fill the cart carefully, with only enough food to fit within your budget," the advisers said. "The committee recommends that (the administration) take the latter approach."

The first option compares to what the government now does with Medicare and Medicaid - it pays all the bills. But the advisers said Obama's plan should be on a budget.

The panel proposed a tough financial test. Few small employer plans currently offer comprehensive mental health coverage, for example. As such services are added, the total cost of the package should stay within a realistic budget target to be set by the administration. That would help keep premiums affordable.

"Without a budget, you could decide to live in a 10,000 square-foot house overlooking the ocean and drive a Jaguar," McGlynn said.

The panel's rough estimate put annual premiums for individual coverage under the plan at $5,500 to $7,000 in 2014, comparable to what employers pay now.

Interest groups will be poring over the recommendations.

"Moving forward, this is truly a lynchpin issue," said Neil Trautwein, vice president for benefits policy at the National Retail Federation. "I think there will be a tug-of-war on this proposal."

The Institute of Medicine is an independent organization advising the government on technical issues.

Celente: Obama Will Win If Republicans Pick Establishment Candidate

Celente: Obama Will Win If Republicans Pick Establishment Candidate
Trends Research

And the next President of the United States will be: teleprompter populist extraordinaire, Barack Obama.

Should the Republicans nominate one of the three current frontrunners -- Mitt Romney, Rick Perry or Michelle Bachmann -- Barack "Back-on-track" Obama wins (despite polls showing him with just a 41 percent approval rating) by playing the populist card he's already begun to deal, forecasts Gerald Celente, Trends Journal publisher.

The President is already calling the bluff of his Republican foes, demanding a millionaire's tax and daring a gridlocked Congress not to pass it.

"Warren Buffet's secretary shouldn't pay a higher tax rate than Warren Buffet," Obama moralizes. "It is wrong that in the United States of America, a teacher, or a nurse, or a construction worker who earns $50,000 should pay higher tax rates than someone pulling in $50 million."

Obama began rehearsing his self-described role as "warrior for the middle class" some months ago. In the Summer 2011 issue of the Trends Journal, we alerted subscribers to Obama's populist campaign strategy:

Undaunted by his string of broken promises, in the Summer of 2011, the born-again populist positioned himself to retain his core Democratic base, while wooing swelling legions of the hard-pressed, desperate for a government handout … the out of work and down and out were left with a Hobson's Choice: either take Obama or be left out in the cold by Republicans.

So, in a classic reversal of his recent stance as "Accommodator in Chief," Obama now vows not to cut the one program most Republicans want to either eliminate or drastically reconfigure, but which voters hold sacred: Social Security. "Obama Plan Won't Include Changes to Social Security," read the Sept. 15 Wall Street Journal headline. As for Medicare, Obama has promised to "fix" it sometime in the future … well after the election.

And who gets hurt if Social Security and Medicare get cut? The 78 million retirement-age baby boomers who need the entitlements most, who can afford the cuts the least -- and who vote.

"Their health costs are going up; their investments are going down. They're deep in debt, most without enough to retire on, and the Republicans want to give them less," notes Celente incredulously. "It's a suicidal strategy that's stranger than fiction. It's as though the Republican campaign has been devised by insidious Democratic infiltrators."

This is why the new, tough-talking Obama is painting Republicans as the party that "does everything for corporate America and nothing for middle America," says Celente.

The Presidential Reality Show

Reflecting back on the debates between Republican candidates, Celente says, "This isn't politics as an exercise in Democracy in action, it's politics as show business for ugly people. Anyone who saw the September 12th debate hosted by CNN witnessed an early episode of The Presidential Reality Show. It was a star-spangled, made-for-TV-spectacle appropriating the lowest common denominator elements of the World Wrestling Federation, the Miss America Pageant and American Idol.

"Given that this is what is passed off as political 'debate' in America, come Election Day, the American Idol winner (a.k.a. The President of the United States) will be the best performer. And Barack Obama has proven that he can out-perform and out-teleprompt them all -- he will tell the teleprompted truth the audience wants to hear.

"Obama will blame Congress for everything that's wrong with America. He'll bring back the ghost of George W. Bush and the failed Republican fiscal policies -- despite the fact that Democrats were in power for two years. He'll avoid mentioning his role in keeping the Bush tax cuts in place and that he bailed out the banks, financial institutions and the too-big-too-fails and delivered nothing but empty promises to the foreclosed and unemployed he vowed to rescue."

By the time the Republicans finally get around to choosing a candidate, Obama will have his "warrior for the middle class" message perfected.

The Leading Presidential Reality Show Contestants

Gerald Celente forecasts that Texas Governor Rick "Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme" Perry will not survive his many gaffes or be able hide his political baggage.

"On the hot button Obamacare issue, Mitt 'Corporate Raider' Romney has already out-Obama'd Obama with the Romneycare healthcare plan he pushed through as Governor of Massachusetts. And besides," says Celente, "polls show that one third of Republicans won't vote for a Mormon, which cancels out everyone who says they won't vote for Obama because they think he's a Muslim."

As for Michelle Bachmann? In the highly unlikely event of her winning the nomination, she could never survive the heat or the intense personal scrutiny she'll be subjected to on the campaign trail.

"Getting Elvis's birthday wrong is surely forgivable, but warning that the rise of the Soviet Union is a great threat to America's national security is borderline inanity. She makes Sarah Palin (who claimed she could see Russia from her backyard) sound like a sage," observes Celente.

While Obama's 41 percent approval rating is dismal, with 13 months before Election Day, it is not an insurmountable statistical gap to close. Ronald Reagan, the ultimate political actor, and Bill "Slick Willie" Clinton -- at the same point in their presidencies -- had only a 47 and 46 percent approval rating respectively, and they won reelection.

"As the teleprompter populist," says Celente, "Obama's every phrase will be carefully crafted. He rarely speaks off-the-cuff and seemingly never from the heart. And on a stage where performance counts more than the heart, fans (a.k.a. the electorate) will vote for the Best Actor. That actor will be the man who commands the stage, Barack Obama.

"If you can sell the American people Jersey Shore," says Celente, "you can sell them another round of 'Hope' and 'Change You Can Believe In.'"

Trend Forecast: In the Summer 2011 Trends Journal, Celente identified Jon Huntsman as the dark horse favorite, with Ron Paul next in line.

Over the long haul in the run for the nomination, the attacks launched by the three current frontrunners could succeed in discrediting them all. Under such circumstances it is not impossible that one or the other of the dark horses could win the race. Should that be the case, either one would have a better chance of beating Obama than Romney, Perry or Bachmann.

Salam and Good Morning to Join Pakistan members

OK The below mentioned reply want me to continue then I am ON.

First of All my dear Pakistani brothers and sisters, some the people have got my point of view and replied. A very special thanks to them.

Everyone already knows about institutions and politicians . Ziyada tar log janty hein.

I want to ask a question, those who did not understand and I want your kind attention to this question please.

Q- Lets suppose Imran Khan got the opportunity to become the Captain of Pakistan Cricket team again. OK
and what you think will he choose a person who is new to cricket, without having any practice/knowledge of game? or he will select experienced, matured and groomed crickters to face the world? As we know he (Imran) beleive in specilists. then why we cannot see any specialist and honest politician in PTI wing? Who are the best political leaders of PTI from Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Multan and other cities?

COME ON PTI WE HAVE ONLY ONE YEAR FOR ELECTION, AND WE HAVE TO MAKE QUICK DECISION TO MAKE CHANGE.

PAKISTAN ZINDABAD

Mansoor Rahim Zahid

Then would you vote for these fake gradutes as you did last time and who have brought the country on its knees, and have a lot of polictical experience in lotaism, chronyism, and whose only achievement is looting this country and filling their pockets. These experiences leaders with a lot of political record of deciept and deception have the following few achievements to show:

1. Pakistan Railways on the verge of collapse. A huge number of trains taken off the track. Before Government bailout they had Rs 52/- in their account. Its employees have not been paid for months.
2. Pakistan Steel which was a profitable entity a few years ago is bankrupt. Looted with both hands.
3. PIA which was a pride of the nation, which started the Singapore Airlines, the Emirates Airlines, and Malta Airlines, the former 2 are now amongt the best airlines in the world, had 3 forced landings withing 3 days, and 1/3rd of its fleet has been grounded. France has threatened that unless it improved its maintenance and safety standard immediately it would be banned from landing in Europe. It was stuffed with hordes of incompetent jialas and paid billions of rupees in arrears. It hired a DMD at a salary of Rs 14lac a month to improve maintenance and safety standards last year. The result of the improvements are before us.
4. WAPDA: the less said the better. The load and generation gap is increasing and not reducing. 3 1/2 years down the line, enough to put up new generation units, but we are exactly where we were 2 years ago. The cost of power due to theft, cost of fuel, incompetence and corruption, kunda and high transmission losses, amongst the highets in the world, have crippled our industry and in many sectors which have closed down for non competitiveness, and thousands are jobless.
5. When the PM is aked to control corruption he says there is no corruption, and if anyone thinks there is he can go to the courts. And when people go to the courts the courts are contempted and their verdicts are flouted shamelessly, and manipulated protests and processions are taken out against the courts and judiciary. Government enquiries are obstructed and honest officers, a few that are left are ostracised, hounded, shunted into sidelines or fired.
6. Those convicted of corruption are forgiven and reinstated to the prize jobs by the President. And those imprisoned are released through presidential pardons on national days. To release one such crook 5000 convictes were released by Asif Zardari last year.
7. When the country was drowning in floods last year Mr President flew off to visit his father's Chateau in France which his father had bought selling Bambino cinema tickets.
8. Government has no money to spend on the flood victims but has the money to dole out in billions to lawyers community to erode the support for the Chief Justice.
9. In the last year's floods the nation and international community donated generously. Most of that money was misappropriated. In these floods no one is willing to help.
10. The expenditure of the Presidency and the PM houses is nearly double that of their counter parts in India. The PM hose has 700 gardners.
11. Nearly every month our worthy President goas on a foreign tour living in the most expensive hotels, expenses running into crores for each trips, when people of Pakistan are deeply sinking into poverty. They ca'nt get a square meal a day.
12. His visits are so many that the Chinese are fed up. He needs just an excuse to go running to China, because he is reported to be running his private investments there.
13. Mr Zardari is our armed forces supreme commander, but has not visited the troop fighting and dying on the front lines even once. He is such a scared and fearful man.
14. Mr Gilani pays no income tax, but a wears a new Armani suit costing over a lac every day.
15. Mr Sharif pays more income tax: Rs 2500.
16. Our worthy Foreigh Minister went to India dressed like a model wearing diamonds and jewellry and carrying a designer bag which only millionaires can afford, and the country she represented was going around with a begging bowl. She made a spectacle of herself. Her Indian hosts were simply dressed. Has anyone seen Hillary Clinton dressed like that.

This is an endless list of the "record of achievement" of your experienced people who are not "new to politics". Which "quality leader" have they produced? Zardai, Gilani, Rehman Malik, Babar Awan, Nawaz Sharif, Altaf Hussain, Maulana Fazalur Rehman, Chawdhary's of Gujrat, Moonis Ilahi, etc etc etc. These dispicable louts who have pawned the future of our future generations and Pakistan has become a failed and ungovernable state at their "experienced" hands. Karachi is in a state of civil war. Political parties have become armed bands and their leaders war lords and dons. We are becoming Afghanistan and Ethiopia. The country is at the edge of a precipice.

Do you still want these experienced poltical leaders?

Thank you for comments and emotions. I appreciate your kind effort. but my dear can you please specify that in current situation what are the other options we have except PPP, PML-N, MQM and ANP etc. On the other hand Imran Khan is a one man Show, and most of us even do not know about the other leaders and No.2 of Tehreek-e-insaf.

Lets suppose the nation vote for independent candidates, and all those candidates win, then that particular parliment will face lots of problems to elect their leader of Parliments including (Prime Minister/Ministers/leader of opposition/speakers etc and so on. Every one will fight for themselves.

In last I must say that Imran Khan has been failed to produce quality leaders for this nation and tehreek-e-insaf. Imran Khan is having qualities of great leader, but what about his cabinet? Imran Khan has wasted last four to five years. I would not vote for a graduate who is new to politics, not familiar, no political records or achievements.

The turn over of our elections are always lower you know very well. some says (Sab chor hein) and not voting.

PAKISTAN IS THE MIRACLE OF ALLAH AND WILL COME OUT OF BAD TIMES VERY SOON.

Skippy goes to school. Or rather skippy get's schooled.

<http://fellowshipofminds.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/obamakooladegif.gif?w=560>

Gotta get me some of that Koolade.

Obama goes to a sixth grade class to talk to the kids to get a little PR.

After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand and Obama asks him his name.

"Walter," responds the little boy.

"And what is your question, Walter?"

"I have 4 questions:

First, why did the USA Bomb Libya without the support of the Congress?

Second, why do you keep saying you fixed the economy when it's actually worse?

Third, why did you say that Jeremiah Wright was your mentor, then said that you knew nothing about his preaching's and beliefs?

Fourth, why are we so worried about Brazil drilling for oil, but we aren't allowed to?"

Just then, the bell rings for recess. Obama informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.

When they resume Obama says, "OK, where were we? Oh, that's right:

question time. Who has a question?"

Another little boy puts up his hand. Obama points him out and asks him his name.

"Steve," he responds.

"And what is your question, Steve?"

Actually, I have 6 questions.

Fifth, why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?

And sixth, what the F--- happened to Walter?"

Sharp kid that Steve is. LOL

**JP** Israel a ‘Threat’ To Region Because Has Atomic Bomb: Erdogan

Israel a 'Threat' To Region Because Has Atomic Bomb: Erdogan

Posted: Thu, 06 Oct 2011

Erdogan

ANKARA: Israel is a "threat" to its region because it owns nuclear weapons, Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday.

"I right now see Israel as a threat for its region, because it has the atomic bomb," Erdogan was quoted as saying by the Anatolia news agency, during an official visit to South Africa. He also accused Israel of committing "state terrorism." Erdogan in the past has accused the West of "double standards" in the way that it has tried to ban Iran from building nuclear weapons without taking similar measures against Israel.

Israel has never officially admitting to possessing nuclear weapons.

Turkey downgraded relations with one time ally Israel after the latter refused to apologise for its raid on a Gaza-bound Turkish aid flotilla, in which nine Turkish activists died on May 31, 2010.

Last month, Turkey expelled the Israeli ambassador and froze military ties and defence trade deals. Ankara has also threatened to send warships to escort any Turkish vessels trying to reach Hamas-ruled Gaza.

Erdogan's remarks came in response to comments from an Israeli embassy diplomat in South Africa, who blamed radical Islamic organisation Hamas for launching rocket attacks into Israeli territory, said the private NTV television.

The prime minister responded that Israel bombed Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip as well as the UN buildings in Gaza with phosphorus bombs, reported NTV.

In recent months, the United States has been alarmed at the estrangement between Turkey and its closest Middle East ally Israel.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to urge Turkey to defuse tension and repair strategic ties with Israel when she visits Istanbul to attend a conference on Afghanistan next month.

Clinton will visit Turkey on November 2, Marc Grossman, US special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, was quoted as saying in the Turkish media.

**JP** Has the Moment Arrived? – Orya Maqbool Jan

Has the Moment Arrived? – Orya Maqbool Jan

Posted: Wed, 05 Oct 2011

by Orya Maqbool Jan

The people who do not believe in the signs, have no faith in the indications, what good is a debate with them. They only perceive results from signs which have been proved by their scientific researchers and scholars of philosophy and history. They will distinguish the illness from the symptoms of cough, fever, pain and a heavy head. They will remember to predict rain before heavy humidity. They present their rationale from the study of history, what the outcome will be in a country when there is social injustice, dictatorship, restlessness and anxiousness. They try their very best to prove their signs and prophecies. All theses indications and signs are presented in the form of a theory or an ideology. Then they are proved to be true by giving examples of events from history.

But sometimes my Allah fails their logic and science, and does not give out the same results as written in their theory. For example in some deplorable and poor nations, restlessness and anxiety does not set in, people are happy with a dictator, or sometimes despite carrying all symptoms of malaria, medical tests do not show malaria. In such scenarios they present a beautiful word, which is 'exception'. And another beautiful sentence has been invented 'exceptions do not supersede rules'. But no one is ready to accept the fact that there is a supreme being which exists and can break their rules. The being which repeatedly shows its signs that without any doubt this world is acting under a rule of law, but He, the One, the Compelling, the Powerful is not subservient to any rule or law. He can produce conditions where all our scientific knowledge is unable to decipher and understand it. In any place He can undo the system that will keep us wondering what has happened. My Allah is not hampered by cause or causality. He is the creator of causality. For giving health to the sick, prosperity to the nations, destruction of areas, annihilation of generations, He does as per His will, whenever He wills. He creates a cause. And we humans for centuries keep pondering over such cause and affect scenarios. And next time with new reasons new illnesses, new destruction and new era of peace and tranquillity is ordained by Him. 'Now again rethink and observe my signs'. We think and observe about the signs, but we do not think about the creator of these signs.

I want to talk about such signs today. The whole world which is in a state of restlessness and anxiety, and the environment of war and destruction it is living in, the one who is well off financially is in search of mental peace and tranquillity. War is imposed on the one which is in a socially deplorable condition, cruel and worst of their kind leaders do not let them live in peace. The whole world is in a state of chaos and bewilderment.

The condition which the prosperous nations are in, due to the breakage of their family system is visible from the dreadful face of the overcrowded old people's homes and the increasing population of the children born without parentage. Although 90% of opium is cultivated in Afghanistan, but more than 80% of those addicted to it are in Europe and America. Once in history male slaves used to be traded. But now loads and loads of young girls from Eastern countries, Eastern Europe and Latin America are trafficked to the wealthier countries for pleasure. For the football world cup held in Germany seventy five young women were smuggled into Germany only for the pleasure of the tourists. The tide of the population control mania gave the people such a taste of contraceptive medicines that there are eighteen countries of the world where young people are so less in number that there is no one to run their system. On the other side there is poverty and depravity, famine, the condition of famine in African countries is such that generations after generations are meeting their death in the deserts, just like animals die from a contagious disease. Strange is the fact that they are dying for a single piece of bread, whereas on the other side excess wheat is thrown in the seas after it is spoilt. There are many countries in the world where man is a victim to war. War between countries, between groups, slaughter and murders between religions and sects, everyone slaughtering each other. The strange and amazing thing is that everyone presents their logic that they are truthful and they are shedding blood rightfully.

If only for the past ten years we count the slaughter of humanity in Iraq and Afghanistan, it exceeds 1.5 million. But If you talk to the respectful leaders of the respectful countries and the best brains of the media, they will declare this mass murder as correct and just. This logic and rationale can be seen in every group in every region. The murdered belonging to my kiln was on the right path, whereas the murdered victim of others will be condemned. In the previous one thousand years of history, we have not witnessed such era, that the 6 billion residing on this earth are being constantly deceived. The murdered is declared sinful and murderer is called rightful. The world has always remained in groups. In some parts those raising the voice of the truth and siding with them were dominant, while in some those committing cruelty from the foundations of falsehood and deceit were dominant. In the war between the two, it was easy to distinguish between truth because the successful and deadly weapon of the twenty first century was not available, the media. Now on this small screen prove anyone to be false and anyone rightful. And after it is proved, pave way for the conquest and overrun, destroy and raze villages to the ground. Just observe closely this whole era, and think for a while on this Hadith of Syed ul Anbia (may peace be upon him), that have we really entered this era.

It is a tradition (rawayat) from Anas bin Malik, he said that Rasul Allah (May peace be upon him) said

'Before the advent of Dajjal, a few years will be of deceit and deception. Truthful will be made into a liar. And a liar will be made into a truthful. The dishonest (khayantdaar) will be made into a honest person (amanatdaar) and dishonest will be declared as honest and the Ruwaybidah will have a say'. Someone asked, 'Who are the Ruwaybidah?'. He (may peace be upon him) said, 'disgraced people (faasiq o faajir). They will speak in important affairs of people'. (masnad Ahmad Sand Abi layla Al Sunan Al Waradah Fi Al Nashn)

Consider this hadith of Rasul Allah (may peace be upon him) as an ideology or theory and ponder if we have entered this era.

Dear friend,

By now you've seen the thousands of brave students, workers and the unemployed occupying Wall Street.

But did you know that as of yesterday, there are over 300 solidarity "occupy events" happening across the country and around the clock?

In Philadelphia, 1,000+ individuals took to City Hall on Tuesday night.

In Washington, D.C., people have camped out in McPherson Square, symbolically located on K Street, since last week.

In L.A., citizens have spent six straight days and nights outside City Hall protesting against income inequality and joblessness.

The crowds and peaceful demonstrations will only get larger and louder as more Americans find the courage to stand up and demand Wall Street, CEOs and millionaires pay their fair share to create good jobs now.

This is the moment that determines whether this movement succeeds or falls flat. Will you pledge to help the movement spread by visiting an Occupy event in Bell Buckle? You can sign up and find a comprehensive list of events here:

http://action.seiu.org/occupy-wall-street

Over the last few weeks we've seen crowds of "Occupy Wall Street" protestors capture the nation's attention as they stood their ground despite aggressive police behavior and hundreds of arrests.

These courageous young activists have given us all a shot of inspiration and hope that we can indeed turn this country around.

We are proud of the actions taken by 1199 United Healthcare Workers East, SEIU 32BJ and other SEIU local unions to support the Wall Street protests.

But as we talk to other "Occupy" participants across the country, they tell us their first need is people.

So we're working with our friends at Daily Kos to see if we can help.

Find an Occupy event happening in your city and pledge to sign up to get involved. You can do that here:

http://action.seiu.org/occupy-wall-street

As part of a peaceful, united movement we can do so much more to demonstrate the increasing urgency of the crisis our country faces and shine a light on those responsible.

Let's go for it!

In solidarity,

Mary Kay Henry

The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry
capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be
far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to
restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a
depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama,
who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of

that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack
Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a
multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

RE: **JP** FW: [alwayz2gather] JI'AY BHUTTO - RAJJ KAY LUTTO - PHIR BACHON SAMET PHUTTO - LEKIN QAUM KO AQQAL NA A'AEE...
